A new place for Sittingbourne
Fountain Place is a proposed new residential development on vacant, brownfield land next to Sittingbourne train station.
It will transform an area which has been dormant for over a decade and create much-needed new homes and high-quality green spaces with landscaping.
This is another step forward in the transformation of the town centre, creating a welcoming gateway to Sittingbourne.
Swale Borough Council has identified this site as a key location for redevelopment. We are proposing to respond to this need with a residential scheme that improves the local area and is designed in an architectural style that complements and reflects the character and heritage of Sittingbourne.
In June 2026 we held a consultation on our proposals, sharing plans with the local community and asking for views to shape our plans.
